Allama Mohammad Umar Dinpoori was born in 1882 A.D in Mastung.His father’s name was Atta Mohammad. He had to execute household works along with his religious education due to poverty.In his early age of 10 to 15 years ,he completed thoroughly reading of Holy Quran in the apprenticeship of Molana Dahi Khan.He went to village Hamayon near Jacobabad for further education and became the apprentice of Molana Abdul Ghafoor Hamayoni and within 3 years ,he completed the customary education.The only Madrassa of Durkhan in Kalat state was famous in those days and his cousin Molana Abdul Hai was the incharge of Madrassa at that time.Molana Mohammad Umar dinpoori adopted the apprenticeship of Molana Abdul Hai for acquiring additional education till 1900 A.D. This was a time when Britain had completely subjugated the Kalat state like other parts of the subcontinent. Beside governing the people, British government was also involeved in preaching Christianity. He imparted religious educational and also had taken the responsibility of saving people from conversion into Christianity through his efforts of compiling and publishing religious books.Molana Mohammad Dinpoori impressed from the works of Madrassa and he also joined his carvan. He was so much impressed even wrote and published six books in Brahui upto 1901.Among these books two were his own poetic compositions,three of them were poetic translations from Persian and one was a prose translation.Many other religious scholars and writers were working on this ground but Molana Mohammad Umar Dinpoori had god gifted capability and high mindedness in this regard. In writing and speaking he had no parallel. In this duration, English men were busy in translating their sacred religious book bible into Brahui and distributing it free of cost among the people. Molana Mohammad Umar Dinpoori completed the translation of Holy Quran into Brahui language in 1916 A.D in the guidance of his teacher Molana Abdul Hai Raisani.Wadera Noor Mohammad Bangulzai donated an amount of three thousand rupees for its publication. This sacred prescription published in1916 A.D and distributed freely among Brahui Speaking masses. The translation badly impressed the Brahuis. It also benefitted Brahui Language and literature from its auspiciousness. This endeavour of Molana Mohammad Umar is considered to be the first major work of Brahui prose literature. Allama Dinpoori is known as the great writer of Brahui Language,approximately, his fifty books have been published so far.

Except his literary works he also took part in Khilafat Movement, Rashmi Roomal( Silken Handcurchive) movement and migrated to Afghanistan. He came back and settled permanently in Shikarpoor.He performed the rituals of pilgrimage, and started again his literary works. Some factious people did not like his good faith. They started conspiracies against him. Noor Mohammad Mosian (well wisher of molana) got him migrated to Moola (Narbant) Khuzdar. Here too, Molana kept his academic activities at top priority. A large number of people benefited from his teachings. He loved too much his children. In this duration his son Abdull Latif Pandrani died due to some illness. Molana could not bear the death of his beloved son at last he died in 1948 A.D, and was buried over there.However his daughter Mrs. Taj Bano continued his mission for a long period after his death. She is also the author of several books.
