Molana Nabo Jan Qalandrani opened eyes in the home of Mohammad Ramzan in 1267 A.H (1851 A.D). He belonged to Qalandrani Tribe. His birth place was a small dwelling: Choto: few kilometers away in the suburb of Mastung City. From childhood he had a great interest of acquiring religious knowledge. Last he succeeded in quenching his thirst of knowledge. Having worn the turban of honor, He choosed the profession of teaching for himself. It was the time when English men were struggling to convert the people of this region to Christianity .They thought that the poor and common people of this region would easily be deceived with temptation of money. Thus they started the establishment of mission hospitals and English manner schools and used various tactics to preach Christianity. Besides verbal preaching they were publishing and distributing their religious books. The majority of the people were illiterate, so they did not understand the English education on the other hand the religious scholars of the region were making them understand with Islamic education Molana Haji Nabo Jan Qalandrani also became a member of this carvan. Besides lecturing he used to preach the people verbally too. In contrast with the publishing of Christian literature, Molana Nabojan published books in Brahui language and distributed them free of cost among the people. His major contribution for Brahui literature was the publishing of Molana Malik Dad Kalatis Tohfatul Ajaib for the first time in 1905 A.D. Later on his own written book…Umdatulbayan…was published in 1907.That consist of a Persian and Brahui poetry. His two other books of poem…Nasihatnama…and Tohfatul Ghraib… are famous for discussion of theological precepts. His researches and works proved a tool of failure for the English fake schemes.We pray Almighty Allah may reward him in return of his beneficial works.Molana Nabo Jan Qalandarani died in 1907 A.D due to plague.
