Molana Abdul Ghafoor gave birth on March, 22, 1922 at Dehpal, District Sibi. He was the grandson of Molana Abdul Hai Durkhani. He started education from his father in the Madrassa established by Molana Mohammad Fazil Durkhani. His father Molana Abubaker Durkhani became the incharge of Madrassa Islamia Durkhan after the demise of Molana Abdul Hai. He received his primary education from primary school Dhadar. He studied till 7th class in Sibi. He did his matriculation from Ahmad Yar Khan High School Mastung. After that he went to Kohlu, laid down the foundation of a Madrassa over there. He issued a monthly newspaper “Mubaligh” from Quetta in 1950. Which stopped in 1961 and started again after the interval of few years.

This monthly newspaper turned into a weekly in 1970. This weekly newspaper once again closed in 1991. Molana Abdul Ghafoor also got published the books of many Brahui poets and scholars. He himself was a poet and writer of Brahui, Balochi and Urdu language as well. He was the author of many books.
