Molana Abdul Hai Durkhani


Molana Abdul Hai Durkhani son of Moladad Raisani was the nephew of the founder of Maktabba Durkhani and Sheikhul Balochistan Molana Mohammad Fazil Durkhani. He received his education from his uncle. After the death of Molana Mohammad Fazil Durkhani, the burden of school management came on his shoulders. Besides lecturing he also established a house of publication.When christain missionary translated the Bible and Yohana in 1907 and distributed it freely among the people, Molana Abdula Hai’s apprentice Allam Mohammad Umar Dinpoori translated the Holy Qurban in Brahui language on the request of his teacher Molana Abdul Hai’s another pupil |Molana Hazoor Bakh Jattoi of sannany translated the Holy Qurban in Balochi Language.

Molana Abdul Hai himself wrote a book named “Nimaz Mutarjim” in Brahui language and got it published in the book observance of prayers, Ablution and Bath have been discussed with translation in a sequence. The date of publication of this book is unknown. Molana also published number of books of other scholars from his house of publication.

After the death of Molana Abdul Hai Durkhani, his son and Molana Abu-Bakkar Durkhani became the successor of Islamic school(Maktba Durkhani). It is necessary to be mentioned here that Molana Abdul Ghafoor Durkhani was his grandson.
