He was born in 1924 at Jalandhar’s small town Kanyan Kalan in India. He did his metric from east Punjab. He did M.A in history from Punjab university Lahore in 1945. He came to Quetta in 1946, appointed as a teacher in High Secondary School, now it is called Govt: Science College Quetta. He was appointed the principal of Govt: Inter College Rawalpindi (Panjab) on 31st September 1960. He came back to Quetta in February in 1970 and selected as principal Govt: Degree College Quetta. One year latter appointed as Deputy Director Colleges in Education Department Baluchistan. In 1972 when the Govt: of NAP came into power, all the Govt: employees of other parts of the country working in Baluchistan were deported from the province. As soon the Govt: of NAP was dissolved, he came back and again took the charge of the same post in education department of Baluchistan. After this he rendered his services as chairman Baluchistan Text Board and Director in education department with the completion of 24 years of service he was retired on 30th September 1984.In the beginning he wrote articles for the magazine owned by Josh Maleeh Abadi receiving appreciation from there he kept continue the sequences of writing . He has written many books on the subject of education. He is a prominent short story writer and researcher, scholar as well. Since he has written 40 books on various subjects, one of these books in “ Brahui ki look kahaian” which has been published in 1965 by Brahui folk stories. He has written a book with the title “ The Brahui’s of Quetta Kalat” that has been published in 1960 from Karachi. This book has been translated in Urdu by his brother Doctor Inamul- Haq Kausar that has been published in 1987.
